In a brief article in The Economic Times, it was reported that on December 18th 2017 that Shree Saini, a resident of Washington state, was crowned Miss India USA 2017.
According to the Times Miss Saini was “21-year-old, who is a student at the University of Washington, said she wants to lead a life dedicated to service”. The article reported “Shree, who had a pacemaker implanted at the age of 12 and was told that she would never be able dance, is an inspiration for all.
A victim of bullying in high school, she has been campaigning against the oppressive behaviour.”
According to Miss Saine “I believe in working together to create a hole that is greater than the sum of its parts,” Shree said, whose parents migrated to the US from Punjab.
She said she wants to eliminate human trafficing and work towards promoting the importance of emotional well-being in the society. Clearly Miss India USA is a truly amazing person.
ICTA member Bill Crawford based in Washington State was recently able to work with Miss. Saine on a photo shoot. Apparently, Miss Saine admires Checker station wagons and Bill was more than happy to help out with his recently restored electric blue Checker. Clearly, Bill colorful Checker is a perfect match for Miss Saine’s colorful attire.
