This is a unique opportunity to own the Big City Limo and Bigcitylimo.com. I am selling my 1970 Checker Aerobus limousine after eighteen years of ownership as I am downsizing my limousine service and going into partial retirement. I recently had an actual cash value (fair market value) certified appraisal done by Allied Appraisal service and it came in at $45,500.00

The Big City Limo was renting out at $175 per hour with a 3- hour minimum up to the time I decided to sell it. It was usually booked for wedding transportation, bachelorette parties, proms and birthday parties. I remember one time driving a 10year old birthday party for lunch and the same evening driving a 70th birthday celebration.

This could be a great business opportunity for somebody as the limo will come with the Bigcitylimo.com ($1,500.00 value) domain name and is ready to start working tomorrow. Also, it would be the talk of any car show – it got first place in the first car show I entered it in! It has always been a crowd pleaser.

I purchased this Checker from Joe Pollard who rented checker taxis to the movie industry in Los Angeles, and he also sold checker parts. He had bought this checker Aerobus from a junk yard in Los Angeles stripped of its engine, transmission and interior but it was a straight and rust-free shell hence the salvage title. I also bought a Checker Marathon from him at the same time and added the rear of it to the Aerobus to give it that iconic New York City taxi look.
After purchasing it I completely rebuilt it with a new engine, transmission, driveline, brakes, suspension, electrical, interior, glass, chrome, sound system, etc.
I built the Checker for commercial use as a limousine to add to my fleet of classic Jaguars. It has a 350 V8 Chevrolet engine with electronic ignition and an Edelbrock 4- barrel carburetor, a turbo 400 automatic transmission with heavy duty internals, a 3- piece driveline and a Dana rear axle. It is equipped with a heavy duty cooling system with 3 radiator fans. It also has dual batteries (recently replaced) and dual alternators. The Limo is located in Fresno, CA, which has plenty of 100-degree days so it was equipped with dual air conditioning units. I wired the car with a universal aftermarket wiring harness with modern blade type fuses and two fuse blocks. I built it for easy service and durability, just about any competent shop could work on it and all the mechanicals can be bought at your local auto parts store. The Jaguars I own are a different story!
The Big City Limo has passed its annual California Highway Patrol inspection every year while it was in service with no issues.
Please feel free to contact me (Simon @ 559 349 3109) with any questions and I am open to any independent inspections or viewing. Any bidders with less than 3 feedbacks please contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled.  Check out my feedback profile and bid with confidence. I have made a couple of videos of the Checker Limo which I think shows more detail than the photos. Thanks.
