Well we certainly have that covered. The ICTA is the most complete Checker Archive in the world. More importantly it’s available for free. The archive is made of three key repositories. The website archive, The Facebook Archive and The Checker Taxi Stand Channel on Youtube. The Youtube archive is the most popular Checker channel on the internet. Just last month the channel received close to 14,000 views and almost 1000 hours of viewing time.
We’re happy to announce the addition of three additional videos this week! Three Checker crash tests. As part of Checker Motors ongoing research in the 60’s and 70s Checker crash test were conducted at the GM proving grounds outside of Detroit. These video show the clear weakness of Checkers in head-on collisions and is a clear message regarding the importance of wearing seat belts when driving a Checker.
Saved by Checker enthusiasts during the plant teardown of 2010, these videos can now be seen by all in our archive. Just click on the videos below to watch.
