The 100th anniversary of Checker Cab celebrations was kicked off last night and will continue throughout the weekend in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. The start off was a meet and greet at Features restaurant, where about 20 Checker fans met up. 3 hours of Checker conversation and fun.
We’re really excited, so far Checker fans from Australia, Europe and North America showed up for the informal dinner. About half the group showed up in one single Aerobus from Minnesota, others drove in from Ohio and Illinois.
Today’s activities start at the Midwest Bus Museum At this point in time, the 100th anniversary Checker show is shaping up to be the biggest Checker event ever! According to show organize Emmerson Zentz, there are already 15 to 20 Checkers registered and more are expected!
We’ll update the website as more activities tale place this weekend.
