Hey gang! Hope all is well, I’ve hit a little bit of financial turbulence and at this point I’m considering finding a good home for my 1966 Checker A12, lovingly nicknamed ‘Sweetums’. We’re here in Portland, Maine.

I’ve owned the car since 1992, and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive the car anywhere. She has a Muncie M20 four speed, and a Chevy 350, 4 bolt main, 10-1 compression engine built by friends at Hanscom AFB. The motor and gearbox probably have about 10,000 miles on them, total. Rear axle is the desirable 2.73 for good mileage. The car has jumpseats. Extra goodies include recent heavy duty springs from Joe Pollard, and I special ordered heavy duty gas shocks front and rear.

Paying for storage is starting to really kill me, and I’ve got to reduce my inventory. The body is rusty, you’ll need rockers, but the car isn’t anywhere near as bad as I’ve seen with other Checkers.

More interested in her finding a good, loving home than making money. Driven with love, never in anger. Shoot me an offer if you want.

Best,

-James
